The GLEE 2007 Expo
is a free two-day event offering practical solutions for people to learn about sustainable living, water and energy conservation, renewable energy, and green building, so they can lead healthier lifestyles, reduce business costs, improve their community and save energy, water and the earth.
Day One features workshops for consumers, businesses and the building trades (including Continuing Education courses), where speakers from around the country cover solar power, water conservation, building green, selecting energy- and water-efficient appliances, global warming, green transportation, green lodging and more than two dozen other interesting and informative topics. There are product displays where more than 50 developers and distributors of green products and services showcase their products, including solar water heaters, alternative building materials and energy- and water-saving devices. See green hybrid, electric and bioenergy-fueled cars. Taste the goodness of foods at an organic farmer’s market. Plus, there’s live entertainment and door prizes.
On Day Two, attendees can tour houses with renewable energy, houses built from alternative building materials, and renovated houses that are now energy- and water-efficient.
A special pre-event workshop on Green Lodging will be presented by Karen Moore, head of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Green Lodging Program. Free one-on-one consultations are also available. Learn how to make your hotel more energy-efficient, water-wise and attractive to tourists. It’s free and open to all hotel, motel and resort owners and managers.
