City of Layton

Planned as a small community in the '50's with all homes on a canal and all but surounded by a 1000 acre state park the city of layton has, as noted above, always been concerned with green living. The city is centered 15 miles between Islamorada and Marathon and therfore rather self reliant and conservation minded. The water quality and substainability of our canals and the habitat supported by native vegation has been one of the primary concerns of our citizens. We sincerely appreciate the attention and Keys wide support GLEE has developed by working with the citizens, businesses and policy makers from Key Largo to Key West and we salute your efforts.
